Sort out rice, soak it in a salt water for 1,5—2 hours. Cut onions in halfrings, shred a carrot on a large grater, fry, add some salt. Mix it with rice in correlation 1:1. Put the mixture in a pan with thick walls (cast-iron). Cook in the open pan without stirring till the water boils. Add washed raisins 10—15 minutes before the rice is ready. Cover the pan and let the rice cook during 30 minutes. Before serving sprinkle with finely cut greenery.
Dishes made of vegetables should be cooked right before serving as the number of vitamins lessens twice in 3 hours. Vegetables are cooked in salt boiled water at the moderate heating. It keeps the vitamins contained in vegetables.
